The exhibition title draws from the language of rendering. “Specular” names the hard highlight, the engineered glint that fixes edge, curvature, and surface with forensic clarity. “Drift” interrupts that condition.
Precision begins to move.
You arrive as the world is already unfolding.
An open world loads mid-state, continuous and navigable without clear origin. Everything gleams with intention, as if perfected elsewhere and imported whole.
Rendered patches of ground suggest an environment only partially loaded into view. Across four rooms, works appear suspended within this partial terrain, embedded in fantasies, romanticised landscapes, and the comforting logic of simulation. Each space shifts in atmosphere and orientation, guiding movement through the exhibition like a navigable landscape where experiences unfold progressively rather than all at once.
Bringing together twenty-two artists, Specular Drift responds to a moment shaped by accelerated image production and frictionless digital circulation. The exhibition turns those conditions back into spatial experience, insisting on scale, presence, and material engagement.
Drift is not interruption, but the form through which the image persists.
